When someone finds themselves out of work often it proves a massive life changing experience. Facing redundancy can suddenly mean losing the infrastructure of a substantial part of ones life.

Confidence is severely knocked at a time when confidence is needed the most.

Using our many years of experience in helping people to achieve success, the Directors of Mayfair have developed a workshop to coach and assist management and professionals to achieve a new position in the shortest possible time.

The workshop comprises:

1. Assessment and Re-evaluation.

This module has been designed to unpick the vast amount of data stored in the subconscious part of our mind, it will reveal every Skill, Experience and Achievement contained within the career, it will discover transferable skills and determine the exact level of position the individual should be targeting. 

This has proved time and time again to be a massive confidence booster. The module is completed before attending the workshop and forms the ingredients necessary to develop the functional CV and develop the interview techniques.

2. Functional Hybrid CV.

A CV should provide just enough information to warrant an interview. Chronological CVs based simply on history rarely help their authors to achieve a position in different industry sectors because transferable skills are difficult to articulate.

A Functional CV developed the Mayfair way virtually guarantees an interview.  The CV will be developed during the workshop and the attendee will be trained how to adapt it for each opportunity.

CVs are of little use in networking therefore an Executive Summary is developed during the workshop to provide a snapshot of the applicant. This is designed as a tri-fold brochure from an A4 sheet.

We then consider how to write the ‘right’ letters:
1: to accompany the CV,
2: to respond to both acceptance and rejection and
3: the most important letters of them all, Referral letters, used during Hook Networking.

3. Interview Techniques.

Mayfair will demonstrate the power of being interviewed correctly and teach how to turn an interview into a meeting that follows the path of the functional CV.

The workshop is then split in pairs for interactive interviewing under the watchful eye of our experienced coaches.

The attendees are given an insight into how to negotiate salaries and packages.

4. Discovering the Unadvertised Market.

The attendees of the workshop will be given an insight into how to tap into the unadvertised job market so that they can discover the true value of this important part of the Job Hunting agenda.  Each attendee will go on the Mayfair mailing list and be provided with company activity reports produced by Reuters that shows company movement, acquisitions, mergers etc., also detailing staff and management recruitment needs.  

5. Hook Networking.

Attendees will learn the secrets of successfully achieving new positions through the unadvertised Market using the powerful strategy known as Hook Networking. A strategy that Mayfair obtained from the USA and one that currently is achieving over 60% of all management job opportunities.

6. Standing out from the crowd.

The attendees will learn how to attract the ‘right’ recruitment companies and how to come top of their list for interviews. Mayfair’s CV is currently having a huge impact with recruiters.

7. Materials and Training Modules.

There is a lot to learn during this full day attendance at a workshop, Mayfair therefore provides simple to follow materials. A training module will be provided to every attendee to be used as a refresher and for reference and to keep confidence on a high.
